Just Be

Slow down, take your time, theres no rush we can stay.
Look out the window and what do you see?
The whole world outside just go and be.
There's no need to say sorry, Ill forgive you anything. Cuz I lose myself when I look into those eyes you have.
Sometimes I can't believe that you and I are really free, and sometimes I can't believe that you and I are really free just to be.

Sister

In the summer we would walk just for fun,
and we'd talk the whole while too.
We'd sit in the park and smile at each other.
It was almost as if we we're sister and brother.
Well we didn't have to do anything to have fun,
just being with each other was quite enough.
I brought you a piece of Colorado and you said to me that you'd cherish it forever.

Lets go from the start,
I love you for your heart
Nothing can keep us apart,
We’ll never restart
They say the grass is greener on the other side,
So there’s no need to cry
All we have to do is try,
and we can climb this mountainside
We can climb this mountainside
I’ve known your face for quite awhile,
And it always seems to make me smile
For you I would walk miles,
just to see you for awhile.
They say the grass is greener on the other side,
So there’s no need to cry
All we have to do is try,
and we can climb this mountainside
They say the grass is greener on the other side,
So there’s no need to cry
All we have to do is try,
and we can climb this mountainside,
we can climb this mountainside

Oh, lets go outside and watch the fall arrive,
and look, with such wonder, at those open skies
and see, if we can find
some kind of meaning in each others eyes
And as we’re sitting here, you whisper in my ear
telling me the wonders of, this earth we hold so dear
and maybe, someday ill find
this glory that is here so well defined
And as we lay by the oceanside
you tell me, there’s no where else to be than by my side
I hope, someday to find, this joy thats in your eyes,

I like to wear sweaters all the time,
because it feels like theres a body always holding mine.
It seems to say that its okay, and I can make it through the day
because I can do anything when i’m wearing a sweater
I like to wear sweaters all the time,
I think they look fancy when you also wear a tie,
If you want to get me a sweater, men’s small is my size,
Because ill love you forever, if you get me a sweater
If it was a crime to wear a sweater all the time,
then i’d be in jail for a real long time,
because wearing a sweater is my favorite past-time
so I hope sweater-wearing is never a crime.
I like to wear sweaters all the time,
because it feels like theres a body always holding mine.
It seems to say that its okay, and I can make it through the day
because I can do anything when i’m wearing a sweater

You were a child,
crawlin' on your knees toward it.
Makin' mama so proud,
but your voice was too loud.
We like to watch you laughing.
You pick the insects off plants.
No time to think of consequences.
Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of trees wantin',
To be haunted.
Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of trees wantin',
To be haunted.
The water is warm,
but it's sending me shivers.
A baby is born,
crying out for attention.
Memories fade,
like looking through a fogged mirror
Decision to decisions are made and not bought
But I thought,
this wouldn't hurt a lot.
I guess not.

I woke up one day to find to my dismay that you we're gone far away from here. You would always say for your actions you have to pay but I never knew they'd haunt me one day.
Ill tell the truth, I miss you
It was no surprise we could see it in your eyes that you wish ed you we're somewhere else. I hope that you are well and I have so much to tell you if only you'd come home.
Ill tell the truth, I miss you

Hallelujah, the days begun
Hallelujah, the bells have rung
In my heart, I know you are the one
Hallelujah, the days begun
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
The days begun
Hallelujah, to the setting sun
Hallelujah, our work is done
In your heart, I know I am loved
Hallelujah, the day is done
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
The day is done

Leaves from the trees they fall
One by one is inevitable
Baby birds must leave their nests
Although we know mother knows best
One by one we all leave home
here in these bodies we have grown
far away from the ones we love
soaring away like a dove
We will return to the dust one day my dear, these bodies we must give back to the earth.
In time we will all be gone
from the planet withdrawn
Gone into the great unknown
Our bodies we will disown.

I will go out in the morning light
To forget the troubles of the night
I will wake up each and every day with a smile on my face
Whats the point of living every day the same?
I'm scared of dying while i'm still sane
I will lay myself down to sleep
Knowing from these sheets I will leap
and the promise of a new day comforts me to drift away

The image appearing in the mirror is one that I seem to fear
No one really cares, so why should I?
No one really cares I'm being eaten alive
I can't believe what I see, is this a dream or my reality?
Theres a monster in my mind,
he comes out only at night,
he's so very scared of the light,
I'm trying so hard to put up a fight.
